Karen Standal
Helewyse
~Story Teller for hire~
When the day is coming to a soft Blackness,
the garden rest
Watering cans
garden gloves
put aside
and soon the Moon slides across
the Velvet sky
Faries come with delight
To rest among Rose beds, Soften in Twilight.
And to Rock their Children in Tulip Cradles.
May you Dream of Fairy Delights
While your Garden calls for the Fay-Folk To alight

She can be found plucking the strings of a harp, to get the story told. It is this music in Karen Standal’s stories that rings with a sublime, almost transcendent power of a storyteller at the height of her craft, one that seems to have all but vanished in an era of I-Pods, text messaging and video games. Her pace in life as well in her storie are timeless
